We seek to create an event that is inclusive, while at the same time working towards long-term sustainability. Tiered ticket pricing, scholarships, and volunteer opportunities are available to enable all members of the community to participate. When you buy your ticket you will also have the opportunity to make a further donation to our Scholarship Fund to support others who may have a lot to offer New Frontiers but do not have the resources to buy a ticket.

Apply to Participate
Applications to Participate are open until Monday 26 March. Candidates will be selected based on what they can bring to the New Frontiers conversation, with consideration also given to balancing the diversity of participants. We'll assess applications on a rolling basis, and you should hear back from us within a week of your application.

Apply to be a Volunteer
This year we are offering a limited number of Volunteer tickets. If you have relevant skills you can share to contribute to the effective running of the event, we’d love to hear from you. Potential role Volunteer roles include participant liaison, event set-up assistance, event pack-down assistance, way-finding, general communications, or logistics assistance. We are looking for Volunteers who are willing to engage in whatever capacity is required, but please include specific skills, experience or interests when making your application.
Full Price Ticket
(Corporates, investors, government)
- NZ$500 per day or NZ$1200 for all three days.
- For groups of 4+ please get in touch with us for a reduced rate.
(Startups, businesses with under 20 people)
- NZ$375 per day or NZ$900 for all three days.
(Fellows, non-profits, students)
- NZ$250 per day or NZ$600 for all three days.
Transport to New Frontiers is available by train from Wellington Train Station, arriving at Trentham Train Station. We will also provide a daily shuttle service from Silverstream Retreat and some other accommodations around Upper Hutt, just let us know where you're coming from on the Participant Information Form and we'll let you know the transport schedule.
For those travelling from out of Wellington, the nearest airport is Wellington International Airport (WLG).
Code of Conduct
New Frontiers is dedicated to providing a welcoming, non-judgemental and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of New Frontiers participants in any form.
All participants are required to cover their own accommodation costs, we recommend you book your accommodation early. To make things easy for you we've pencilled in some room bookings at a special New Frontiers rate with our accommodation partner, Silverstream Retreat. Many of our national and international guests will be staying here and there is a shared lounge available for after-hours connections. If you would prefer to stay in Wellington City or somewhere more unique to you and your party, then there are some other accommodation options listed below.
